Welcome to Building Inspection Division's Plan Review office. The
office reviews building plans for all new construction and
alterations for both residential and commercial buildings. The Plan
Reviewer insures compliance with the current Uniform Building Code (UBC),
Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC), Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC), National
Electrical Code (NEC), California energy and accessibility
requirements where required by the California Building Code.
Capabilities
The Plan Review office is staffed by California licensed
engineers/architects and International Conference of Building
Officials (I.C.B.O.) certified inspectors for their respective code
disciplines. Our clerical staff and job coordinators provide
assistance to the plancheck technical staff with: intake, tracking
submitted plans, and routing plans to other County departments for
approval.
